About

Freshtech is about a device that is on its way to revolutionizing the way we read!

It tracks the development of this revolutionary device, the ebook reader.

When we  saw the Amazon Kindle in November 2007 at Amazon.com, we knew that it was something special…so we decided to track the  development of the industry.

As the electronic book reader continues to evolve, things will get interesting, especially as different versions pop up!

You are welcome to read, add your input, and make your comments as you see fit. I only ask one favor, make it beneficial for those coming behind you.

…and If you find the information helpful, pay it forward (share it with someone), and don’t forget to subscribe to the RSS feed to get the latest updates.

That said, I hope you enjoy the journey.

    Mike,

I read your post on the Sony eBook reader, and I wanted to point out that perhaps the most exciting application for this new technology is in the field of college textbooks. College students can save time and money by purchasing their course materials in digital form, and eBooks save paper, which is also good for the environment.

iChapters is even adding an ecological incentive by planting a tree for every eBook or eChapter purchased via their website. The “Plant a Tree” drive runs through February 15th, and so far, over 35,000 trees have already been planted.

For more information, there is an electronic press kit at http://www.guerillapr.com/ichapters/

As I am working with iChapters to spread the word, you can contact me directly with any questions or comments. I can also provide you with an iChapters gift certificate if you would like to test out the service.

    Sincerely,

    Jenny Murphy

I don’t know of anyone that can do it professionally for you. However, if you email the files to me at Michaelholt@verizon.net, along with the name of your Kindle, and I will help you download them to the kindle.

Bear in mind that Amazon will be charging you $0.15 per megabyte for the service.

    For Future transfers…
    Option #1
To use the paid method ($0.15 per Mb) and send your personal files to YourKindleName@kindle.com, the documents will converted and sent directly to your Kindle and you would not have to pay

…the total fee will be charged to your Amazon account…see this article

    Option #2
To do it free, email the files to YourKindleName@free.kindle.com and it will be emailed to your Amazon account. You will then have to physically connect your Kindle to the computer using the USB cable and download the converted files.

This information is presently obsolete. The Hanlin book and the BeBook are the same. The BeBook is available easily online within Europe and North America. BeBook works with more formats than any other eReader. Now, you can read Mobi DRM files. They are constantly upgrading and improving the firm ware and are soon to release the new BeBook mini which will have touch screen and wireless.

    Hi,

I have a couple of questions about your blog:

    1) Is it OK with you if I spread some link love and link to your blog? I think my visitors would like your blog.

    2) I noticed on your blog that you link to other blogs… do you think its possible for you to link to my blog myairshoes.com?

Please let me know what you think. Thanks for your time.

    Frances

Great blog. I purchased a Kindle 2 about a month ago and I love it. I’ve added it to the stuff that travels with me everyday to include my iPhone. Continued success to you with this and other endeavors.
