iRex Technologies Announces the Latest iRex Digital Reader
On Wednesday, iRex Technologies, announced that it is entering the United
States e-reader market with a brand new $399 touch-screen wireless device…just like the Amazon Kindle.
The new iRex DR800SGÂ boasts a 8.1 inch screen and will offer users the option to purchase digital books ( from Barnes & Nobles) and newspapers and magazines wirelessly over the Verizon 3G network.
AT&TÂ and Sprint are the only other networks providing this service to these devices.
…and within a month, when the device will becomes available, customers will be able to get it at their closest Best Buy store…just like the new Sony digital reader: Reader Touch Edition(PRS600BC) and Reader Pocket Edition(PRs300BC).
The hope is that the popular outlet store will give sales a boost as customers get more of a first-hand look at what it’s all about.
Best Buy is already training thousands of its employees on how to present device to the general public.
