…The Launch of the Kindle DX

…Kindle’s move into the international market (taking yet another lead)

…the drastic drop in ereader prices

…the ePub format virus ‘infecting’ several readers…except the Amazon Kindle…again!

…Launch of many other ebooks readers , includng,  Eco ebook reader, cooler ereader…

…Astak’s EZ reader given permission to install Adobe Digital Editions firmware enabling it to view copyright protected ebooks.

…the much rumored Apple tablet ereader yet to launched.

…plus much, much, more…

To think that we are still in the early stages of the ebook reader revolution. It is amazing!

It is clear that we are set for a mind blowing 2010! You can expect to see more huge developments as it unfurls before our very eyes.

While I am at it, let me make a few gutsy predictions…you can take it for what it is worth!

  • The apple tablet reader will finally arrive!
  • Amazon Kindle 3 ( touch screen, book loaning, native internet access…) will be unveiled.
  • There will be a Nook 2 in the making.
  • More ebook readers will adopt wireless content access…thus far we have four (Kindle, sony digital reader, Nook, and iRex…)
  • Several new ebook readers will be introduced.
  • eReader sales  will explode…as more and more people become aware of its existence and begin to take notice of its powerful features.

As ereaders continue to duel for market share, developers will keep the entrepreneurial ‘flames’ buring.

As wireless content access  becomes more common, and more ereaders sync with  one another, the network of communicating ebook readers will expand.

The next big thing has to be internet access…and new ereader applications.

Barnes & Nobles’ book loaning idea could catch on as well.

Look for other ebook readers to move into the international market just like the Amazon Kindle.

It is going to be an exciting 2010 and Freshtech will be there to cover it all.

We would love to hear your thoughts.
