New iRex iLiad To Feature Barnes And Noble eBookstore

When IREX Technologies unveils its 8.1-inch touch screen and 3G wireless consumer eReader later this year, the device will boast content from the Barnes & Noble eBookstore making over 750,000 titles immediately available to the general public…including new releases and bestsellers at $9.99.

…and since it supports the ePub format, customers will be able to read them on other ereader devices as well.

Clearly the company is positioning itself to compete in consumer ereader market.

It is left to be seen, how much this new device will cost, and how will it functions.

…also what other features will offer, apart from content, that will distinguish it from the Amazon Kindle and other leading ereaders in the industry.
