Yes folks, the headline is correct!…and Amazon is dubbing this one Kindle for $25 Less!

That means instead of paying $139 for the Kindle with Wi-Fi, you will pay $114 or instead.

What’s the catch?

Actually there is no catch…just a little trade-off. Amazon has created a new version of the Amazon Kindle that comes with special offers and sponsored screen savers. To get in on the deal, you chose to pay less for Kindle and in-turn accept the option of receiving special offers on your Kindle designed to save you money…agree to have company sponsored screensavers on your Amazon Kindle.

The offers appear at the bottom of the home screen, while the screenssavers will appear when your Kindle in not in use. So, in a sense they will not really be interfering with your reading.

…and you get to choose the screensavers that you like. All you need to do is get the AdMash App which you can download to your kindle and use it to pick the screensaver of choice.

You can also set your personal screensaver preference…so that Amazon can know what screensavers, you prefer.

So is this a good move?

Personally, I have no problem with it, simply because it will not interfere with my reading…and furthermore, I have a choice! If I want to continue reading as before …I pay the extra $25.. If I want to experiment with it, I take the discount.
